The Fight Continued...Kwai Chang Lost

Dammit! The morning cockfight resumed a couple of hours later. It was bloody and the dreaded truth could be seen in the wreckage - this wasn't going to end...I was going to have to get rid of one rooster. I never enjoy losing any chicken and it's just kind of sad to know that they can't get along. I have learned this lesson the hard way a few times. A second round means they won't stop...unless forced to. I placed one rooster in a cage and called Andreas, who lives near Rancho Giro. He has been wanting to buy a rooster but I haven't wanted to get rid of any. The chickens decided to change that today. I sold him the crested rooster and three hens for $650.00...it was a very hard to give them up but I know they are in a great home with someone that loves them as much as I do...Andreas' face was glowing like the sun. He always wanted a Gallo Giro. Today...his dream came true...
And I discovered something, too. With every gain...there is also loss. And with every loss...there is also gain. In the depths of my sadness, it became obvious that I love my chickens correctly. That's why it hurt so much...
I wonder what tomorrow will be like...
His name was Cresty(w/ crest). That's Tuffy in my left hand.

Cresty was a mean rooster that hated being held.

"Goodbye, Cresty...we already miss you"
