Yes, these are the legendary Gallo Giro...the meanest of all the fighting roosters. I didn't know any of that when I got my first rooster. But, it's the only kind I have...the blood is original and pure. I do not fight them ever...but, sometimes, they do what they do best...with or without my blessing. These two started fighting 5 minutes after I let them out this morning. I had to separate them and carry them to opposite ends of the yard. That seemed to do it. It's not always that easy to find the "OFF" switch on these once they are fighting. They become possessed!
Also, when a rooster is ready to mate with a hen, he drags his wing-feathers on the ground to tell her of his intentions. This guy is the king of the ranch. Look at the feather damage. I'm predicting his demise will come from this and his inability to fly more than three feet off the ground...no altitude...this will cost him in the end. Nature's checks and balances may take this king off the throne.
