Chickens don't die of old age...

Here are two examples: The white Giro was named Hopey because he survived two brutal incidents of violence as a baby...both times we were sure he would die...but we "Hoped" and prayed and he survived. He died in the 'security' of his coop at night when a bobcat got in through a small hole that I never fixed. It's fixed now. But the price of learning was huge. These white Giros don't show up very often.
The other bird was called "Colota" and he was so beautiful. He was killed by Tuffy one day when I was not home. It was a freak occurance that has only happened once since then. That was last week when I had to sell "Cresty" to Andreas.
So, I really miss these two beautiful Giros. They didn't die of old age like worn out renegades. They died in battle and they will never be forgotten. Both birds have offspring that are carrying on.
