KiKiRi was the first rooster I ever owned. I was very lucky because he was a Gallo Giro. But, at that time, I didn't know what that meant. I had no experience...I only wanted some natural eggs to eat. That was three years ago. Losing the baby rooster yesterday made me think of the day I lost KiKi. He died last May.
It was a tragic day. He died trying to protect some baby chicks from a coyote. He was a warrior. These are the very last pictures I took of him and are very special to me. Please treasure them if possible. Thank you.
Unbelievable. The very last picture I took...he looked right at me. His favorite place was the "kid's fort in the pine tree". He was always confident. |
