High Temperatures...Higher Hopes

It's been very hot around here. This heatwave is still going strong and there is no relief in sight. It is starting to affect the birds. Tensions can run high. Today, there was a scuffle between two roosters. Luckily, I discovered it almost immediately...no blood was shed. 
So, the heat is brutal. It is hard to believe that the injured raven has been able to endure it. He has been through so much...and taking care of him isn't always easy. He gets very exhausted. It's also emotional at times. It is inspiring to see him keep fighting to recover. He wants to live. It's been about 9 days, now. We won't give up...
