Sadness in the tree

Take a good look...I posted this picture this morning. Now, there is sad news. This rooster died today while I went to work. He was killed by his own brother. They had been together since day one. I don't know what happened...I wasn't here. But, through the sadness, we must see the lesson to be learned. If we assume that something will be there forever...then, we have taken it for granted and don't appreciate it the way we should. The correct way is to treat everything like this is the last moment...I sure wish I had thought of that this morning...I could have said good-bye to DiDi. My next post will be a tribute to him. Goodbye, Gallo Giro...I'm sorry, I wasn't here.
