It has been a long year with many gains and losses. The thing is to always count your blessings and never your misfortunes! My roosters and chickens are so beautiful...there must be more to all of this than we can know. Anyway, Peace on Earth and Good Will towards everyone everywhere! The meek will inherit the Earth. It's only a matter of time. Please, remain hopeful!

 

Red Sky in morning...Roosters take warning

Well, if it's going to rain, the roosters don't care. They are getting tired of this COLD SPELL, though. The hens are keeping the babies warm...and that's what matters the most. But, it's nearly Christmas, and cold weather is just part of the tradition.
We like anything that keeps stuff special...brrrrrrrrrrr!

Bad News Good News

The bad news,

Good News: I've been busy at my new job...
Bad News: It takes a lot of my rooster time away from me...
That's why things have been so slow here...
More bad news: It is so cold here right now, the chickens want to stay hidden after they eat. So, they'll come out to eat, but they don't stay out long. The ice from the water dish from two days ago...is still laying in the dirt...unmelted!

It is still trying to rain...the chickens seem to be unhappy about it...rain means insects...they want more rain.

It is FREEZING!

It's the coldest winter in 40 years!
But...it's nice and warm in here...
for a single-bedroom.
